OMNIYON is FSS Technology’s unified A/V and comfort control platform for luxury yachts and premium interiors. In a luxury yacht interior, entertainment and comfort systems are typically fragmented: separate controllers for satellite TV, streaming media, audio zones, climate control, and lighting — each with its own remote, app, and learning curve. OMNIYON unifies all of these into a single, beautifully designed interface that gives guests and crew intuitive control over every entertainment and comfort system in their environment, from a touchscreen panel, smartphone app, or voice command.
OMNIYON System Architecture
Unified AV Integration
OMNIYON integrates with satellite TV receivers, streaming devices (Apple TV, Chromecast), Sonos and Denon multi-zone audio systems, and HDMI matrix switches via IP control, RS-232, and infrared — the full range of control interfaces used by professional AV equipment. Custom Node.js integration drivers abstract device-specific control protocols behind a unified REST API, enabling the OMNIYON frontend to control any AV component regardless of brand or protocol through a single consistent interface. Adding a new AV component requires writing an integration driver — typically 100-300 lines of JavaScript — not replacing the control system.
Climate and Lighting Control
OMNIYON integrates with HVAC systems via Modbus and KNX protocols, and with lighting controllers via KNX, DALI, and DMX interfaces. Guest-facing climate control — temperature setpoint, fan speed, mode selection — and lighting control — scene selection, individual zone dimming — are exposed in the OMNIYON interface alongside AV controls, eliminating the need for separate climate and lighting control panels in each room.
